The Whitecourt Wolverines Junior “A” Hockey Club are pleased to announce that they have acquired defenceman Billy Hooson (05) from the Drayton Valley Thunder of the AJHL.
The Didsbury, ALTA, native has played 121 games in his AJHL Career, collecting 5 goals and 24 assists. The 6’4″ captain of the Thunder also won a AJHL Championship in 2023-24 with the Calgary Canucks.
“Billy brings an element of size and toughness that we felt we needed, he is a high character player that we are excited to add to our playoff push.” stated Head/GM Shawn Martin.
Going back to the Thunder is defenceman Lachlan Staniforth. The Wolverines want to thank Lachlan for his time in Whitecourt and wish him the best of luck in Drayton Valley.
