GAME RECAP
On Sunday, November 17 the Whitecourt Wolverines took their home game to the Pembina Arena in Fox Creek for an offsite game against the Sherwood Park Crusaders. Fox Creek is a town in northwest Alberta, with about 2000 residents, located on Highway 43, approximately 259 km northwest of Edmonton. This is the fourth meeting of the season between these two clubs.
Arjun Atwal got the scoring started midway through the first period. Crusaders outshot the Wolverines 10-3 in the first period. Atwal got his second of the game at the four minute mark of the second period. Savoie added a third on the powerplay, and then Blake Sydlowski late in the second period. Brayden Labant added a goal for the Wolverines at 19:15 of the second period. Shots were 15-6 Cru to close out the second period.
The 3rd period saw no scoring and the Crusaders win 4-1 final with shots 35-15 for them.
