Family Violence Prevention Month November 2019
Whitecourt- November is Family Violence Prevention month in the Province of Alberta. In the efforts of awareness and prevention of family violence in our community, Whitecourt Family Violence Initiative attended our game November 15 to honor those who have been affected by family violence. They distributed purple ribbons to fans to show support of Violence Prevention. We participated in a moment of silence, followed by an honorary puck drop to acknowledge those impacted, and to create further awareness and prevention of this important initiative. #GoPurpleAB
Earlier in the month we also participated in WFVI 15th Annual Candlelight Vigil. The community?s attendance and support helps in their mission to reduce family violence. #WhereToTurn Call 310-1818 for support.
