Wolverines Swap Defenceman with Drayton Valley

Whitecourt, AB – The Whitecourt Wolverines have acquired 1998-born defenceman Brayden Richards from the Drayton Valley Thunder in exchange for 1999-born defenceman Beaudon Rider.

Richards, a Calgary, Alberta product, is in his first season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.  In 28 games played this year with the Thunder he has 4 goals and 4 assists to go along with 26 penalty minutes.

Prior to joining the Thunder, Richards played last season in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with the Notre Dame Hounds where he tallied 5 assists in 40 games after playing the previous year with the midget-AA Calgary Stampeders.
