Wolverines Captain Commits to Aurora

Wolverines Captain Chase Broda (02) has committed to continue his education and play hockey for Aurora University Spartans of the NCAA Division III. Currently the Spartans play in the ACHA Conference.

 

The Wellesley, ONT, native is in his 3rd season as a Wolverine and picked up 43 points in 44 games this year including 24 goals. Lifetime Broda has suited up for 111 games in the regular season for Whitecourt collecting 94 points including 50 goals making Chase the 5th all time goal scorer in Wolverines history. Broda also owns the Wolverines all time record for shorthanded goals in a career with 7.

 

Chase had this to say “I am very excited to join Aurora University. I would like to thank my family, friends, coaches, trainers, advisor and our amazing fans in Whitecourt.”

 

Wolverines HC/GM Shawn Martin adds “Chase has been through a lot in his time in Whitecourt starting in the Covid-19 season and battling various injuries throughout his 3 year career, he has persevered to attain this accomplishment. Chase has done a great job leading the group this season and I wish him the best of luck in his time in Aurora.”
