The Whitecourt Wolverines Junior “A” Hockey Club are pleased to announce that (right) Drae Gardiner (01) and (left) Dylan Witzke (02) have been loaned to the team from the Canmore Eagles of the AJHL.
Gardiner who is from Calgary, Alberta has played over 90 junior games with his time in Canmore and he also played for the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL. Last season the rearguard compiled 17 points in 33 games.
Witzke also from Calgary had an excellent rookie season with the Eagles last year putting up 40 points in 54 games while being named to the AJHL South All Rookie Team. Earlier this year Dylan secured a scholarship to the prestigious Dartmouth University for next season.
“With where our roster was at we needed to add a couple of dman to the lineup, obviously to be able to add two experienced players of their caliber we are thrilled “ stated Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin.
“We would also like to thank Andrew Milne and the Canmore Eagles for allowing us to help with these individuals development for the remainder of this season”. added Martin.
