Wolverines make their final trip of regular season to Fort McMurray against the Barons and newlt appointed head coach Gord Thibideau.
Hunter Lamb opens the scoring for the MOB early in the first from Konrad Belcourt and Brendan Stafford. Adam Sandstrom tied the game in the second period on the power play from Kaleb Ergang and goaltender Vincent Duplessis. In the dying minutes of the second period Michael Hodge puts the MOB back in the lead from Brendan Stafford and Hunter Lamb. Midway through the third Brayden Labant ties the game from Bjorn Robinson and Garin Butler to force overtime. Less than a minute into the overtime period Cassidy Bowes steals the puckfrom the defense in the Wolverines zone for a break away giving the Wolverines the overtime win.
