Ironside Commits to Albertus Magnus College

20-year-old goaltender Carson Ironside has committed to playing next season with the Albertus Magnus College Falcons who play in the NCAA Division III Conference. The past three seasons Carson has guarded the net at the Scott Safety Center for the Wolverines. Carson finishes his AJHL career with the following stats: 56 GP (3rd in Franchise History), 30 Wins (2nd in Franchise History), 3.12 GAA (19th in Franchise History) and a .910 Save % (10th in Franchise History).

“Carson is one of the hardest working competitors and best teammates to don a Wolverines Jersey,” stated Head Coach Shawn Martin. “During the Covid season I told him and his family that he would need to earn his opportunity and he did that that every day since he became a member of this team.”

Shawn Adds, “I am extremely proud and excited for Carson to move onto the next level, but he will be missed dearly within the Wolverine family.”

Carson had this to say about his commitment, “I am super excited for this opportunity to continue my hockey career. Thank you to everyone in the Wolverines organization for the last three years. I enjoyed my time and grew so much as a player and person, a special thanks to my Billets, the Britts, for giving me a home away from home.”

On behalf of the Wolverines organization, we want to congratulate Carson and his family on this achievement and thank him for his service in Whitecourt. Questions can be directed to Shawn Martin Head Coach/GM at 780.893.0535.
