Wolverines Announce Bench Staff for 2019-2020 Season

Whitecourt- The Whitecourt Wolverines are excited to announce the assistant coaching staff for the upcoming season.

Devin Windle – Assistant Coach

Devin has spent the past five seasons in the SJHL where he was a Head Coach with the Melville Millionaires and an Assistant Coach with the Nipawin Hawks. Prior to his time in the SJHL he coached in the AMMHL and the AMBHL.
?Going through the process with the applicants it came clear to us that from a teaching and experience background Devin was going to be our selection, Devin has a high level of professionalism, and we are excited to bring him into the fold here in Whitecourt.? Stated Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin
Devin had this to say about joining the Wolverines. ?I am excited to be joining Shawn and the Wolverines staff; everyone I have spoken to about the organization has had high praise for it. At this time, I find myself very fortunate to be part of the group tasked with bringing a championship to Whitecourt for the first time and cannot wait to get started.?

Darcy Charrois ? Assistant Coach

Darcy is a Whitecourt resident that has been an Assistant Coach with the Wolverines previously including this past season coming in February to help complete the season. He has also been an area Scout for the team the past couple of years.

?Darcy came in last season and made a great impact in his short time, his ability to relate to our players and additionally to younger recruits has been specifically strong.? ?We are extremely pleased that Darcy is going to continue with our program.? Commented Head Coach and GM Shawn Martin.

Darcy had this to say about his decision to continue with the team. ?Scouting the last couple of seasons has been very rewarding with bringing in some future Wolverines and will continue to do so moving forward. I am excited to get more involved with Shawn and Devin on the coaching side of things coming on board in the last half of the season ignited my coaching passion to work with the players again and help in their development.?
