The Whitecourt Wolverines are pleased to announce that they have added Kyle Chipchura to the team as the Player Development Coach. The native of Westlock, Alberta has an extensive playing background which includes playing in the WHL, AHL, NHL and KHL. In 2006 Kyle was named Captain for Team Canada in the World Junior U20 Championships. For the past two season Kyle has been coaching with Northern Alberta Xtreme Program of the CSSHL.
“If you look around the AJHL the top teams have added this position to their respective staffs. We have been looking for someone like Kyle and are overjoyed to bring him on to help our athletes.” states Head Coach and GM Shawn Martin
The former 1st round pick of the Montreal Canadiens had this to say. “I am thrilled to be part of the Wolverines. It is an organization that has been on the rise for the past few seasons and I am excited to contribute in any way that I can.”
