Whitecourt, AB – The Whitecourt Wolverines are pleased to announce the signing of 1997-born forward Yannik Bertrand.
Bertand, a native of Orleans, Ontario, has spent the past three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playing for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and most recently the Rimouski Oceanic.
In 117 career QMJHL games, he has scored 21 goals and 24 assists to go along with 213 penalty minutes. In 24 games this year with the Oceanic he has 8 goals and 5 assists.
Prior to beginning his junior hockey career that has also seen stops in the CCHL and the EOJHL, Bertrand played his minor midget hockey for the Ottawa Jr. 67’s.
