Whitecourt, AB – The Whitecourt Wolverines have acquired 1996-born forward Mitch Lipon from the Merritt Centennials in exchange for Future Considerations.
Lipon, a product of Regina, Saskatchewan, is entering his last season of Junior hockey. He spent the 2015-2016 season with the Merritt Centennials where he appeared in 54 games scoring 17 goals and adding 21 assists to go along with 45 penalty minutes. Prior to joining the Centennials, the 5’8, 160lb forward played 79 games in the Western Hockey League. (Kamloops Blazers, Saskatoon Blades, Spokane Chiefs).
Lipon is a brother to JC Lipon of the Winnipeg Jets. JC appeared in 9 games with Jets during 2015/16 season.
