Home and Home match up with Drayton Valley Thunder

Wolverines face the Thunder for the third and fourth times of the regular season. These teams met earlier this season back in October for a previous home and home where Whitecourt would win both contests.

Drayton Valley Thunder would add two the the board early in this one from Dylan Price and Liam McLaren to jump to an early 2-0 lead. Ethan Green would answer back at 4:32 from Sam Anderson and Hayden Clayton to cut the lead in half.
Ergang would score unassisted at 7:23 to even the score at 2 after twenty minutes. Wolverines would take thier first lead of the game at 10:37 of the second period on a goal from Ethan Leyer assisted by Brayden Labant and Will Spitzer. Thunder would even the score at 17:12 when Brett Bamber would find the back of the net on the power play  from Tanner Hopps and Jeremy Klessens. Cassidy Bowes would score short handed from Adam Sandstrom in the third to move the score to 4-3. Drayton Valley Thunder would again even the score at 11:15 – Matthew Kinash from Adam Oates and Tanner Hopps and force this game into overtime. Kadyn Chabot would end overtime at 2:19 on a goal from Dylan Price and Brett Bamber giving DV their first win against the Wolverines this regular season.

Drayton Valley Thunder couldn’t find an answer for Vincent Duplessis at the Scott Safety Center and Wolverines win 3-0. Ethan Leyer scored on the power play in the first, Affiliate player Warren Marcotte would score his first career Alberta Junior Hockey League goal in the second period and affiliate player Dylan Leslie would also score his first Alberta Junior Hockey League career goal in the third. Dylan Leslie (Jaedon Leslie’s brother) and Warren Marcotte are teammates at Northern Alberta Xtreme.
