The Whitecourt Wolverines of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are pleased to announce 2005-born forward Lucas Baxter has committed to the team for the 2023-24 season. A native of New Westminster, BC, Lucas laced up last season with the Vancouver NE Chiefs who played in the BCEHL U18AAA league. He compiled 55 points in 33 games placing himself 7th in league scoring.
“Lucas plays hard, goes to the net and can finish on opportunities.” said Wolverines Head Coach and GM, Shawn Martin.
“I’m excited on being a part of the Wolverines program, the hockey culture in the town of Whitecourt is great and I’ve only heard positive things about the program.” stated Lucas.
