Wolverines Continue to Add to Coaching Staff for 2019-20

Jamie McCaig ? Goalie Coach

Jamie has spent the past 19 years coaching or instructing goaltending. Over that time along with being Co Owner of ATC goaltending he has been the goalie coach for the following teams Merritt Centennials (BCHL), Grande Prairie Storm (AJHL), Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL), La Ronge Ice Wolves (SJHL), Kootenay Ice (WHL), Nait Ooks (ACAC) and the past 2 seasons Spruce Grove Saints (AJHL). As well he has been the goalie coach for Team Canada West at the World Junior ?A? Challenge the past two tournaments.

Mike Brown ? Player Development/Skills Coach

Mike has been coaching bantam hockey in Calgary for the past 4 seasons, while coaching he has also been working for the Okanagan Hockey Group as a Camp Coordinator and just recently completed an Internship with the Western Hockey League. His extensive playing background had him playing 3 years in Canadian University, 1 year in the AJHL and 3 in the WHL.

?We have created this position for Mike as we feel that as an organization, we need to do everything possible to develop our athletes. We are looking forward to what Mike can bring to our team? were Head Coach and GM Shawn Martins comments.

Mike had this to say. ?I am excited and motivated with the opportunity to join the Wolverines organization in a player development role. My job will be to improve our player’s skill set, in order for them and the team to move forward and have success. I would like to thank Shawn and Brent for this opportunity, they are looking to create a great program in Whitecourt and I am excited to be part of the team.”
