The Whitecourt Wolverines have acquired 93-Forward Sam Lawson from the Grande Prairie Storm for 93-Defenseman Dalton Olsen. Lawson is a native of Calgary, Alberta and had 14 points in 20 games for the Storm this season prior to the trade. This is Lawson’s fifth and final season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and is scheduled to play for the University of Alaska Nanooks starting in 2014-15.
“We felt we needed a veteran centre to join our team and add depth to our forward unit. He is a proven point producer in the AJHL and adds leadership to our team. We are very excited to have Sam join our organization,” said Wolverines General Manager/Head Coach Joey Bouchard.
