Thunderstruck in Drayton Valley

The Whitecourt Wolverines were thunderstruck in Drayton Valley on Tuesday night, falling 3-1 to the Drayton Valley Thunder. The Wolverines have now dropped their third game in a row.

 

Whitecourt opened the scoring at 2:59 of the first period when Evan Warmington scored from Joel Herbert and Matt McNair. Whitecourt couldn’t score again and they watched Drayton Valley score unanswered once in the second period and twice in the third period to win 3-1. Drayton Valley went 2 for 5 on the power play and Whitecourt was 0 for 3. Tanner Kovacs stopped 29 of 32 shots on goal for Whitecourt and absorbed the loss.

 

Next action for Whitecourt comes on Friday, November 8 when they travel to Canmore to take on the Eagles in a 7:00 pm start. Whitecourt will then head to Drumheller on Saturday to take on the Dragons in a 7:00 pm start.
