Wolverines pick up 2 of 4 possible points in home and home with Grande Prairie Storm. 

Grande Prairie – On Tuesday, November 12, Whitecourt Wolverines went on the road to Grande Prairie to kick off a home and home against the Storm. Wolverines went into Tuesday’s game with a penalty kill percentage of 90.91% with the best road percentage in the league at the time. Wolverine’s power-play away percentage is 17.65%. The Storm was 14th in the league on the power play at 11.76% at home and 76.74% at home on the pk. Wolverines came into the contest with 24 points and 4th in the north division, trailing the third-place Pontiacs by 4 points. Grande Prairie was sitting in 6th place with 15 points.
November 12
Jayden Watson, a 2003 forward from GP Storm Midget AAA, made his AJHL debut in the Tuesday contest for the Wolverines.  Wolverines #31 Vincent Duplessis would start in net, while #30 Lars Kaliel would bein the pipes for the Storm.
Whitecourt Wolverines at 11:46 (PP) – Ethan Green opens the scoring on the power play at 11:46 of the first period on an assist from Kaleb Ergang and Spencer Augot. Wolverines double the lead one minute later as Cassidy Bowes gets his seventh goal of the season assisted by Hayden Clayton.  Shots in the first period finish at 11-9 for Whitecourt.
Nathanial Bierd cuts the lead in half just 0:58 into the second period from Nathan Morgan and Lukas Jirousek. Brody Dale tied the game at  5:19 from Devin Sutton and Brett Meerman.  Shots were 10-6 for Whitecourt to close out the second period.
Whitecourt Wolverines take the lead back at 5:39 of the third on a goal from Will Spitzer, who gets his first career AJHL goal from Cassidy Bowes and Hayden Clayton. Sutton scores on the power play at 10:35 to tie the game at 3. Jackson Wozniak from the Storm capitalizes on the power play at 16:47 from Ethan Strang and Juliano Santalucia, which would be the game-winning goal for Grande Prairie Storm. Final shots for the game were 34-26 Wolverines. Whitecourt Wolverines went 1 for 9 (11.1%) on the power play while Grande Prairie Storm went 3 for 6 (50.0%). 

November 15
The Storm travelled to the Scott Safety Center on Friday, November 15, for the second half of the home and home.  Wolverines #31 Vincent Duplessis would start in the net while Kayden Lane would get the start for the Storm.
And there was a storm in the SSC as it rained teddy bears!
After a power-play goal from Ethan Green at 8:03 of the first period, assisted by Cassidy Bowes and Ethan Leyer, the crowd threw stuffed animals onto the ice in support of the Whitecourt Christmas Hamper(WCH). For more information on the WCH you can find them on facebook.  Shots in the first period 12- 8 for the Whitecourt Wolverines.
Cassidy Bowes would add to the lead on the power play at 13:27 assisted by Ethan Leyer and Adam Sandstrom to double the lead. Cade Mason of the Storm would answer back on the power play late in the second period at 18:50 to go to the dressing room after forty minutes with the Wolverines leading 2-1. Shots in the second were 14-5 for the Wolverines.
Wolverines scored three unanswered goals in the third period: Robinson, and two from Wallz to finish this one 5-1 and final shots of 37-22 Whitecourt.
Wolverines went 3 for 5 (60.0%) on the power play while Grande Prairie would go 1 for 5 (20.0%). Vincent moved to a .909 SV%. Wolverines remain in 4th with a 12-8-2 record on the season.

Wolverine’s next home game will be held in Fox Creek on Sunday for Whitecourt’s fourth matchup of the season against Sherwood Park Crusaders who currently hold1st place in the North Division.
