Whitecourt, AB – The Whitecourt Wolverines have acquired 1998-born defenceman Simon Lavoie from the South Shore Lumberjacks (MHL) in exchange for 1997-born forward Ryley Smith.
Lavoie, a Quebec City, Quebec native, is in his first season of junior hockey. In 30 games with the Lumberjacks this year he has 1 goal and 9 assists.
Prior to joining the Lumberjacks, Lavoie played his minor hockey for the Dawson College Blues appearing in 67 games over two seasons and collecting 5 goals and 18 assists.
