Forward Nic Porterfield has committed to attend Niagara University (ACHA) to play for the Purple Eagles.
The Calgary, ALTA, native joined the Wolverines halfway through the season from the Melville Millionaires of the SJHL. Combined with the Millionaires and Wolverines this season Nic scored 20 points in 51 games.
Wolverines Head Coach / GM Shawn Martin had this to say, “It is never easy to predict how a player will transition with a new team when added mid-season, Nic was a great fit for our locker room and instantly became a big part of our group.”
Nic adds, “I am grateful for everything the Town of Whitecourt has done for me. I would like to thank my teammates, coaches, volunteers, billets and the fans for all their support. I am extremely excited for what the future holds.”
