After a record setting season for the Whitecourt Wolverines Zac Onyskiw has been named one of the finalists for the CJHL’s top Goaltender.
In 37 games for the Wolverines this season Onyskiw lead the AJHL in all major statistical categories; Wins (26), GAA (1.87) and Save% (.939). In the regular season Zac also posted more shutouts (3) than games with 4 goals against (2).
Zac’s .939SV% in the regular season set a new mark in the AJHL surpassing the old record held be Jesse Gordichuk at .935%. Onyskiw was also named the AJHL’s Top Goaltender and MVP as well as capturing the AJHL’s Top Team Goaltenders award for combined team GAA.
