Wolverines trade defenseman with Melfort Mustangs

Whitecourt, AB – The Whitecourt Wolverines have acquired 1999-born defenseman Andrew Liwiski and future considerations from the Melfort Mustangs in exchange for defenceman Jake Hobson.
Liwiski is from Dauphin, Manitoba. In the 2017-2018 season Liwiski played 50 games for the Lloydminster Bobcats, scoring 2 goals and 4 assists, then moved to Melfort over the off-season. Liwiski is a former Parkland Ranger in the Manitoba AAA hockey league, where in the 2016 /2017 season tallied 43 points in 42 games.
The Wolverines would like to thank Jake Hobson for his commitment to our organization on the ice and to the community off the ice during his time in Whitecourt.
