Wolverines Sign Two Affliates to Letter of Intent

Whitecourt, AB – The Whitecourt Wolverines are pleased to announce that they have signed 1999-born forward Aidan Steinke and 2000-born forward Isaac Benoit to letters of intent for the 2017/2018 season.

Steinke, a native of St. Albert, Alberta, currently plays for the St. Albert Raiders AAA team.  In 31 games this year he has nine goals and 13 assists, his 22 points rank third on the team.  He has already appeared in six games with the Wolverines this season as an affiliate registering two assists.

Benoit, a Strathmore, Alberta product, is playing for the Wheatland Chiefs AA team.  He not only leads his team in scoring but also leads the entire South Central Alberta Hockey League in scoring.  In 30 games this season he has 31 goals and 53 points.  He made his AJHL debut with the Wolverines on January 14th against the Olds Grizzlys.

An AJHL letter of intent protects the player as a member of the respective team.

The Wolverines next home game is Monday February 20th at 2:30pm against the Lloydminster Bobcats.  Fans who attend the game will be able to skate with the Wolverines after the game ends.
