The Whitecourt Wolverines Junior “A” Hockey Club are pleased to announce that they have committed Carson Ironside (03) to the Hockey Team. The St. Albert, Alberta product played 13 games with the St Albert U18AAA Raiders last year compiling a record of 12 wins 0 losses and 1 overtime loss. Carson had a 1.77 GAA to go along with a .932 Save Percent.
Carson also dressed for 2 preseason games this season going 2-0 beating the Grande Prairie Storm on both occasions.
“Carson came into out training camp as a “camp invite” and flat out won a job. He has stayed patient throughout this entire process and we are very excited to have Carson with us” stated Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin.
Goalie Coach Jamie McCaig had this to add “Carson came to camp and has earned the job each and everyday. I have worked with Carson for the past few seasons and his work ethic and maturity has put him in a position to be in the crease for the Wolverines for years to come”.
Carson had this to add “I’m excited to officially be joining such a great organization for this season, a great group of guys who I look forward to working with”.
