Wolverines make a trade with Okotoks Oilers

Whitecourt- Whitecourt Wolverines have acquired defenseman Hoon Kim, Luke Farthing and future considerations from Okotoks Oilers in exchange for Ben Evanish and Ryan Grant. 

Hoon Kim is a Calgary, Alberta, defenseman standing at 5? 11?. The 2000-born player is in his second season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. He has played 69 games for a combined total of 25 points. Luke Farthing is a Stoutsville, Ohio defenseman standing at 5? 10?. The 1999-born player is in his first season of the Alberta Junior Hockey League and has played 25 games and accumulating 6 points. 

Ryan Grant joined the Whitecourt Wolverines in the 2015-2016 season and was the eighth captain in team history. Ryan recently broke the Whitecourt Wolverines record for most career assists by a defenseman, that had been held since 2013.  Grant appeared in 195 regular season games over the course of 3.5 seasons, displaying his tremendous consistency and reliability.

Ben Evanish joined the Whitecourt Wolverines in the 2016-2017 season. Evanish played 132 games as a Wolverine and netting 101 points, coming close to the career goals record as a Wolverine.
