Wolverines Make a Trade with Kodiaks

Whitecourt, AB – The Whitecourt Wolverines have acquired 1997-born forwards Estian Coetzee and Liam Motley from the Camrose Kodiaks in exchange for 1997-born forward Bryson Traptow and 1997-born defenceman Matt Gervais.

In 15 games this season, the 6’3 190lb Estian Coetzee has scored 7 goals and 8 assists.  He is in his second season in the AJHL and has played in 62 career games tallying 30 points.  Coetzee hails from Fort McMurray and spent his lone midget AAA season playing in Fort Saskatchewan for the Rangers during the 2014/2015 season amassing 8 goals and 19 points in 32 games.

Liam Motley is in his second full season in the AJHL having played all 69 career games with the Camrose Kodiaks scoring 18 goals and 22 assists.  Motley, who is 6’4 and 185lbs, also has 7 goals and 8 assists this season and has played in all 18 games for the Kodiaks.  He is a graduate of the Calgary Royals midget AAA program where in the 2014/2015 season he had 16 goals and 16 assists in 34 games.
