The Wolverines are proud to share the AJHL's highlight story on Head Coach and General Manager, Gord Thibodeau. Coach T, Coach Gord or Uncle Gord if you will, has been a force in our organization this season. But he hasn't just been a force in our organization, this is a trend he carries with him where ever he goes and although you'll read his quote saying, “coaches are overrated”, don't underestimate the power of greatness behind the bench. Gord is being humble by saying those words and although we would never take away from the hard work, dedication, skill and heart that our players have, we also wouldn't want to downplay the role of great coaching!
Gord is on the cusp of being the All-Time winningest coach in the history of the AJHL. With 830 wins currently, he is only 2 games from tying the record and 3 wins from breaking the current record, held by Don Phelps, of 832 wins.
