Wolverines Given CJHL Pointstreak Honourable Mention Once Again

For the second time this season, the Whitecourt Wolverines have been given a head nod in the latest Poinstreak CJHL Top 20 Weekly Rankings. The Wolverines, who are currently on a 5 game winning streak, met with the Spruce Grove Saints 3 times in their last 6 games and after losing the first match up on October 23rd the team pulled together to make the next games count in their favor. The Wolverines winning streak started on October 24, when the Wolverines downed the Calgary Mustangs with a score of 7 to 1. The next weekend saw a home and home stint with the Saints where the Wolverines came out on top both nights including a shut out score of 4-0 in the Saints hometown.

On Nov 3rd the Wolverines continued their streak, beating the Sherwood Park Crusaders in overtime and bumping them up from 4th to 3rd spot in the AJHL Viterra North Division Standings. Their next match up would also end in overtime, this time going all the way to a Shoot Out against the Bonnyville Pontiacs where Wolverines #20, Kevin Domingue would score the only shoot out goal and give the Wolverines the win.

This week the Wolverines have a packed schedule with three home games starting on Tuesday, November 10th and continuing on November 13 and 14th. All games will be held at the Scott Safety Centre in Whitecourt and the puck drops each night at 7:30PM.
