Whitecourt, AB – The Whitecourt Wolverines dropped a 5-1 decision to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons on Sunday night in game six of their North Division Semi-Final series.

The Wolverines opened the scoring just under five minutes into the game as Jude Butler re-directed in a shot from Brayden Labant, following that goal though the game would belong to the Oil Barons.

They got goals less than three minutes apart in the second half of the first period from Merritt Oszytko and Jarred White, with White's being a highlight reel breakaway goal.

There was no scoring in the second period but the Oil Barons would tack on three more goals in the third period as Jack Hamly finished off a beautiful three-way passing play between himself, Jarred White and Coy Prevost.  Peter Tomaras would score just over four minutes later on a two-on-one rush and then just 24 seconds later Jarred White scored for the second time in the game.

The Oil Barons win forces a game seven which will be in Fort McMurray at the Casman Centre Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.
