Whitecourt- As completion with part of the trade with the Bonnyville Pontiacs in November this past season, the Whitecourt Wolverines Junior ?A? Hockey Club is pleased to announce the acquisition of both Sam Anderson (00) from Calgary, Alberta and Garin Butler (00) from Westlock, Alberta.
In his time with Bonnyville Pontiacs Garin has accumulated 30 points in 117 games, he also had 191 Penalty Minutes last season.
?Garin is another 19 yr old going into his third Junior A season, he will bring a tenacious game and will be very difficult for the opposition to play against? stated Head/GM Shawn Martin.
Sam played for the West Kelowna Warriors last season and put up 6 points in 54 games.
?Our scouts and I watched Sam in midget a couple of years ago and were very impressed with what we saw; I believe with the right opportunity he can become a very good player in our league? were Shawn Martin?s comments.
