The Whitecourt Wolverines Junior ?A? Hockey Club is pleased to announce that they have acquired Matt Sanders (01) from the Okotoks Oilers. The Calgary, Alberta native has put up 10 points in 20 Alberta Junior Hockey League games with the Oilers this season. Last season Matt played 51 games in the WHL with the Moose Jaw Warriors and previously played Midget AAA with the Calgary Buffaloes.
?With the injuries we have incurred, we were looking at adding a steady d-man that has good size, and we were able to do that,? stated Head/GM Shawn Martin.
