The Whitecourt Wolverines are pleased to announce that 2001 Defenceman Carter Spenst has signed a Letter of Intent with the hockey club. The Valleyview, Alberta product who plays for the Northern Alberta Extreme Prep Team is coached by Matt Tassone and is in his 2nd year with the club. Currently, he has 19 points in 18 games to go along with 48 Penalty Minutes. As an affiliate player with the Wolverines he has played nine times this year, and he has also played eight games with the Swift Current Broncos over the past two seasons.
Head Coach Shawn Martin had this to say:
“Carter is a big physical player that will bring a lot of stability to our defensive group” “He has already played close to 20 games of junior hockey which will help his transition to our league”.
Carter Spenst said,
“Great town, organization and people. I played in Whitecourt as a bantam, and I’m excited to be a Wolverine again!”
The Wolverines organization want to welcome Carter and his family to the Wolverines program and wish him the most success in his future development.
