The Whitecourt Wolverines Junior “A” Hockey Club are pleased to announce that they have added Cooper Smyl (02) from the Soo Thunderbirds of the NOJHL.
From Fairfield, CA, the dual citizen had a monster year this season scoring 17 goals in 19 games. He also had a strong rookie campaign two years ago putting up 31 points in 49 games for the Thunderbirds.
“Cooper has family from Whitecourt and was looking at making a move out west, we think he has the talent to be a consistent point producer for the team” stated Head/GM Shawn Martin.
Cooper had this to add “I am excited to be coming to Whitecourt and joining the Wolverines organization, I am looking forward to furthering my junior hockey career”.
The Whitecourt Wolverines and fans are very excited to add Cooper and his family to the organization and community.
