The Whitecourt Wolverines Junior ?A? Hockey Club are pleased to announce that they have acquired Cedric Matte (00) from the Flin Flon Bombers in the SJHL. From Waterville, Quebec he has put up 12 points in 34 games with the Cornwall Colts in the CCHL this season. Prior to his time in the CCHL he played with the Bishops College Prep team in the MPHL where he put up 19 points in 46 games. ?Cedric is a guy we targeted a while back and feel he will bring a lot to our back end? stated Head/GM Shawn Martin. To acquire Cedric the Wolverines had to move 3-year forward Hayden Clayton to Flin Flon. ?Hayden has been a good and loyal Wolverine it was very difficult to include him but we had adding a defenceman a priority moving into this deadline?.
