The Whitecourt Wolverines are pleased to announce the acquisition of 18-year-old defenseman Mitchell Brennan.
Brennan was acquired from the Lloydminster Bobcats in exchange for 19-year-old forward Morgan Messenger. The trade completes the Tanner McCorriston trade from October of last year in which the Wolverines owed a future consideration to the Spruce Grove Saints, who would subsequently trade that asset to the Lloydminster Bobcats.
Brennan, who is coming off his second season in the AJHL, had a career year last season playing in 58 games and picking up 3 goals and 15 assists. In 115 career AJHL games Brennan has amassed 4 goals and 25 points.
The 6’2, 185lbs. defenseman is a Calgary, Alberta native and played his minor hockey for the Calgary Northwest Athletic Association.
