Wolverines Acquire Smith from Olds

Whitecourt, AB – The Whitecourt Wolverines have acquired 1997-born forward Ryley Smith from the Olds Grizzlys in exchange for 1999-born forward Cody Laskosky.

Smith, a Huxley, Alberta native, is in his third season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and has appeared in 110 career games scoring 28 goals and 55 assists.  Last season he hit career highs in all major statistical categories with 16 goals, 35 assists and 51 points for the Grizzlys.

In 12 games this season he is tied for 23rd in league scoring with 14 points.  Prior to his junior hockey career, he played midget-AAA with the Red Deer Chiefs where during the 2014/2015 season he had 33 points in 33 games which was 19th in league scoring.
