The Whitecourt Wolverines Junior “A” Hockey Club are pleased to announce that they have acquired Charlie Key (05) from the Pickering Panthers of the OJHL. The Ajax, Ontario product put up 41 points in 45 games his rookie season. Prior to his time with Pickering Charlie played with current Wolverine Jalen Bianchet on the Ajax/Pickering Raiders U18AAA team.
“Charlie skates well and has great offensive instincts, he is going to be an impact player in our line-up.” stated Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin.
Charlie had this to say about the transaction “I am excited to get started in Whitecourt. I can’t wait to get down there and meet all the guys, staff and to play in front of the amazing Whitecourt fans.”
Key adds “I’ve heard nothing but great things about the program and community and can’t wait to improve my game.”
