(Whitecourt, AB) – The Whitecourt Wolverines are proud to announce 2001-born forward Nolan Doell has signed a letter of intent (LOI), committing to become a member of the Whitecourt Wolverines in the upcoming 2019-2020 season.
Doell, from Martensville, SK, currently plays for Beardys Blackhawks Midget AAA Hockey Club in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League (SMHL), where long-time coach Dale Grayson coaches him. In 35 games with the Blackhawks, Doell has compiled 25 goals, 28 assists for a total of 53 points and 74 penalty minutes. Currently, Doell is the third highest point producer in the SMHL this season. Doell weights 174lbs and is 5’11” tall and shoots right. Doell has some experience in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) playing 9 games between 2017-2019, adding one goal and assist.
Whitecourt Wolverines Head Coach and General Manager Gord Thibodeau had the following to say of the newly recruited Doell:
“Nolan is a gifted offensive talent, and we expect him to be an immediate impact player next season.”
