The Whitecourt Wolverines Junior “A” Hockey Club are pleased to announce that Tyler Mahan (01) Forward has been tabbed as the team’s next captain.
Tyler, who hails from Calgary, ALTA, is going into his 3rd and final season with the Wolverines. He led the team in pre-season in scoring compiling 7 points in 5 games following last season where he scored 7 points in 9 games.
Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin had this to say about the leadership announcement, “Tylers story is one of perseverance as two years ago he came into our main camp as an unsigned prospect and will leave as team captain.”
Martin adds “He has earned everything that has been given and if we can have a hockey team that embodies his work ethic and overall passion for the game of hockey this will be a very successful season.”
The Whitecourt Wolverines and their fans can’t wait to see the Wolverines back in action for the 21-22 season starting tomorrow as we host the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in our home opening game.
