04′ Winger Dylan Ruptash has committed to the University of Alberta who play in the Canada West Conference where they are currently in first place. From Edmonton, ALTA, this is Dylan’s first year with the Wolverines and he currently sits 3rd in the AJHL goal scoring race with 18. The Golden Bears have won an unprecedented 16 national championships and are coached by former NHL defenceman Ian Herbers.
“Dylan has injected an offensive dimension to our hockey club and is one of the best shooters in the AJHL.” stated Head Coach Shawn Martin.
Martin adds “He is very deserving of the opportunity he has received and have no doubt that he will be an effective contributor to the Golden Bears program.”
Dylan had this to say about his commitment “I am proud and honored to commit to the U of A. I would like to thank my family, coaches and teammates for helping me achieve this goal.”
