Wolverines forward Braden Nienaber has committed to attend the University of Saskatchewan to play for the Huskies.
The Huskies are the defending Canada West Conference champions and are led by Head Coach Brandin Cote.
Braden was added to the Wolverines last November in a deal with the North Battleford Stars of the SJHL. Braden compiled 18 points in 37 games last season with the Wolverines.
“Braden came to us at a time where we had significant injury issues and he helped steady the lineup until we became healthy, he was an unbelievable teammate and played in a lot of key spots that sometime can go unnoticed.” stated HC/GM Shawn Martin
On behalf of the Wolverines organization, we want to congratulate Braden and his family on this achievement and thank him for his service in Whitecourt.
Braden is the 8th Wolverine to commit to post secondary education this season
