Long Commits to Play for Cornell University

Aiden Long (2005) has committed to continue his education and play hockey for the Cornell University Big Red. Currently the Big Red play in the ECAC Conference and our ranked 11th Nationally.

The Mono, ON, product has been an offensive force since joining the Wolverines this season. He has compiled 36 points in 40 games and was also a member of Team Canada West at this years WJAC.

Cornell is led by Head Coach Mike Schafer who has been in that position since 1995.

“We are very proud of what Aiden has been able to accomplish this season,” stated Wolverines Head Coach Shawn Martin.

“For him to find a school that will be a fit not just athletically but also academically is important and we feel that Cornell is the right fit for Aiden,” adds Martin.

Aiden had this to say about his commitment, “I am very excited to commit to such a storied hockey program. I would like to thank my family, friends, coaches, teammates, trainers, advisor and everyone else who has helped me get to where I am today.”

“I look forward to pursuing an education that is next to none, while working to win a National Championship at Cornell,” Long added.
