Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin has made the following changes and additions to the Hockey Operations Department for the up coming season.
Dave Bush (Assistant General Manager) will continue in that role with his sole purpose to keep a major presence in recruiting for Eastern Canada and the U.S.
Doug Hergenhein (Head Scout/Advisor) will stay in his current role while adding the Advisor title to help with some of the changes that will be occurring.
Mike Desaults has changed roles from being an area scout over the past 4 seasons into the Director of Player Personnel.
Dustin Beech has been added as a Northern Alberta Scout and Dave Chamberland has been added as a Southern Alberta Scout.
Rick Hazelton has rejoined the scouting staff as well after some time away.
Shawn Martin had this to say about the restructuring and additions “Dave and Doug remain major fixtures in this area, but Mike has put a ton of work in, and I believe will do great in his new role. Dustin has 20 years experience coaching in the Edmonton area and will add to our Northern Alberta group while adding Dave Chamberland who has a long background with scouting and returning Rick to the fold will strengthen our Southern Alberta presence immensely.”
