The Whitecourt Wolverines Junior “A” Hockey Club are pleased to announce that goalie Max Weilandt (05) has committed to the hockey club for the upcoming season. The Northbrook, Illinois, product played in 37 games last season with the Chicago Reapers U18AAA program having a terrific season. Max had a 25-10 win/loss record to go along with a 1.73 GAA and a 930 save percent. Also, Max played in 2 games with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL.
“Max was exactly what we were looking to add this off season in net, his size and composure in the net is going to be fun for our fans to watch.” stated Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin.
Max had this to say about his decision “I’m very grateful for this opportunity and I could not be more excited to be a Wolverine this coming hockey season, I cannot wait to become part of the Whitecourt community.”
