The Whitecourt Wolverines are pleased to announce that 2002-born Forward Alex Thacker has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the hockey club. The Legal, Alberta native who plays with his hometown, Fort Saskatchewan Midget AAA Rangers, is having a great year. Coached by Tylor Valin, Thacker was named a captain in his 2nd year with the club. Currently, he has 35 points in 33 games which has him in the top 20 for AMHL scoring. As an affiliate player in the Alberta Junoir Hockey League (AJHL) with the Wolverines, he has played four times with the team where he has recorded one assist.
Head Coach Shawn Martin had this to say:
“Alex has one of the highest hockey IQ I’ve seen for someone his age. He comes with a very business-like attitude and as his history has shown, has always been able to generate offence”.
“I am humbled and excited to have the opportunity with Whitecourt.” Alex Thacker.
The Wolverines organization want to welcome Alex and his family to the Wolverines program and wish him the most success in his future development.
