The Lloydminster Bobcats put together a solid performance and dispatched the Whitecourt Wolverines at home 4-1 Wednesday night. The game was never in doubt for Lloydminster, as they outshot Whitecourt 35-18.
Lloydminster scored the only goal of the first period before Colten Mayor tied the score at 4:46 of the second period from Jordan Davies and Sam Lawson.
Lloydminster went on to record two short-handed goals and one power play goal in the second period to make the score 4-1. There was no scoring in the third period.
Mac Engel stopped 31 of 35 shots on goal for Whitecourt to absorb the loss.
Next action for Whitecourt comes at home on Friday vs. Spruce Grove Saints in a 7:00 pm start.
