Beniuk Commits to Wolverines

The Whitecourt Wolverines of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are pleased to announce 08′ born forward Kaiden Beniuk, has committed to the team for the upcoming season.

A native of Sherwood Park, ALTA, Kaiden played last season with the AEHL U18AAA Sherwood Park Kings. This past season he compiled 28 points in 37 games and added another 5 points in 4 playoff games. The left shot center/winger also had the opportunity to play in 2 games this past season with the Wolverines as an affiliate player where he did get an assist for his 1st ever AJHL point.

Beniuk joins Ryder Schnitzler and Landon Horiachka as the 3rd committed player to the Wolverines from the Sherwood Park Kings program this off-season.

“Kaiden made an impression as a younger player at our main camp last season where we offered him a chance to affiliate. This allowed him to be around our team at different points of the season, his work ethic and positive attitude is something that really stood out to me.” said Wolverines Head Coach and GM, Shawn Martin.

“This is something I have worked toward my whole life. Joining an organization with this kind of tradition, success and community is an opportunity I do not take lightly. I will do everything to earn my spot, learn from the veterans and prove that I belong in a Wolverine jersey.“ Stated Beniuk.

The Whitecourt Wolverines and their fans want to welcome Kaiden and his family to the hockey club. Any questions can be directed to Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin.
