2024 Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run

The Wolverines are proud to be able to support Associate Coach Bryson Traptow and his family as his father Murray deals with early onset Alzheimer’s.
Murray, who is an active, involved, loving husband and father to three grown boys, and their dog Duke, had been silently struggling for years with what was initially thought to be stress and anxiety – turned into a diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s in April 2024 at 59 years old. No wonder life seemed so hard at times. A man whose family came first and would die trying, never gave up and never will.
Although a daunting and frightening diagnosis, it was an answer. Murray perseveres daily by searching for healthy coping mechanisms, ultimately channeling his energy into creating a positive day. His resilience and strength have transferred to his wife and sons, who support one another unwaveringly.
Murray and Al’z Pals (family and friends) have decided to live life fully, love, and support one another while finding light through laughter.
Your donation today will go to YouQuest, a non-profit organization, which creates community and programming for people with young onset dementia
and their families
for active health and well-being.
