2022 1st round Playoff Preview:
Coming off a COVID interupted playoffs in 19/20 and a shortened COVID season in 20/21 the Wolverines got back to normal with a 60 game regular season in which they produced 0 positive cases, won 29 games and set a franchise record with 6 victories in the shootout (previous high was 4 done twice).
Your Whitecourt Wolverines (6th) 1st round matchup is set as we prepare to kick off the playoffs March 4th against the Bonnyville Pontiacs (3rd). Whitecourt will host games 3 and 4 on March 8th and 9th.
The Wolverines and Pontiacs sqaured off 6 times during the regular season splitting the season series 3-3-0. In those 6 contest the Wolverines found the back of the net 12 times but were outscored 17-12.
The Wolverines and Pontiacs closed off their regular seasons with back-to-back games with the potential of 9 straight games against one another.

In the regular season the line of Tyler Mahan (01), Christiano Aiello (01) and Alex Dominqiue (01) lead the way against the Bonnyville Pontiacs. Aiello would finished the season with 1-5-6 for a point-per-game against the Pontiacs, Alex Dominique would go 3-3-6 including his first career AJHL hat trick on February 25th and Mahan would pick up 1-4-5.
