The Whitecourt Wolverines are set to begin the AJHL Gas Drive Play Offs after playing 60 regular season games.
The Wolverines finished the regular season with a 41-13-6 record, garnering an impressive 88 points. The team scored 254 goals on the season which was the 2nd most in the AJHL and allowed the 4th least amount of goals at 156.
The Wolverines will face off against the Grande Prairie Storm for the first round of AJHL Gas Drive North Division Play Offs. In 6 meetings this season, the Wolverines bested the Storm 5 times, losing the last match up in Grande Prairie. Previous to that loss, the Wolverines had won 15 straight previous games against the Storm.
The action starts tomorrow night, Thursday, March 9th, in Whitecourt at 7:30 PM where the Central School Choir and Percy Baxter Sign Language Choir will open the game by singing O’Canada.
